Background
What a good information pack looks like
A design-stage calculation is only as good as the specification behind it. Plans and elevations tell us geometry; the build-ups, window schedule and services information tell us performance. Without the second half we have to assume, and assumptions written into a model become obligations on site.
The strongest packs name products. A window with a stated whole-unit U-value, an insulation product with a stated thermal conductivity, a heat pump with a model number: each of those replaces a cautious default with a real figure, and cautious defaults are what push a scheme into needing extra measures.
Send what you have, even if it is incomplete. We will tell you which gaps actually affect the outcome and which we can carry as assumptions until the specification firms up.
